How everyone
know's, Poland is the beautifull country. On our territory we have a lot of
great place where we can spend great time and listen about our different
history. In our country we can see moutain, virgin forest or river and cold but
picturesque sea. But think the best
place to live and spend holiday is Kashubian lake district.
Cachubian 's occupies the site of the western part of Pomerania, starting from the city of Gdansk ending Miastko.
In this territory we can meet all types of terrain from the highlands
and lowlands, a lot lake and sea.
First written information about this nation was about 1278. Cashubian people
was very much persecuted at the beginning of Poles who considered
them not Poles, later by the Germans during the partitions.
Cashubian
isn't only beautifull place, it's also great history and culture. Cashubian
it's only one nation on polish teritory whose have language, not dialect. Best known for its song Kashubian its "Kaszebsci Nute". Its difficult song, because
she has a lot of twists and turns.
If you go to
Kashubian lake
district, you should visit: Szymbark (centre for region), where you can see a
house upside down, the longest board on the world and syberian house. Next
place is Wieżyca, Chmielno and a lot great place. This region is wery interest
and oryginal.
On cashubian region at any
time of the year you will find job. In summer you can go
to the lake or sea,
in the fall we're going to mushroom
into beautiful forests, in the
winter we go skiing
on the ski lifts. And besides that, we can explore the city of Kashubian.
Questions:
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If
you been, what do you like?
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
1.Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteI’ve been many times in that region, but I’ve never explored Cashubian culture.
2.Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
I have mentioned it on this blog – I love Bieszczady, for its wildness.
I might sound like a d**k in this comment, but I prefer honesty. You can have many typos, grammar errors or poor formatting. Your presentation can be even a copy from translate.google.com, but sentence like this: “This region is wery interest and oryginal.” makes me wonder whether author read it even once after writing it. And the second thing, that is caused not by poor language skills, but laziness is “Kashubia” in many forms. You can name people living there as Cashubes or Kashubs or even former term Kashubes, but if you choose one – stick with one.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is easier way of getting a good mark – you don’t need to sit in a classroom for a one and a half hour every second week, you need to prepare one presentation and comment other – that is it. So if you chose that option PLEASE put some effort in it.
Besides many errors presentation is nice, area is pleasing, but I don’t know why they need to have two names for a city, when the only difference is one letter or adding extra letter to the name.
Yes I've been to Kashubian place once and it was quite enjoyable. The ubiquitous tradition is very acceptable and relaxing but in my case not for a longer time. What I liked the most was this special kind of cheese which's taste is sooo nice! :) I like Gdańsk the most for it's chilled lifestyle and opportunities available practically everywhere.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteMany Times I have been in Gdańsk, but I never noticed Kashubian culture there. Maybe because I never tried to look for differences. But I really like Gdańsk, not just Gdańsk but the whole Trójmiasto. There are many places that we have to see if we are in Gdańsk. Particularly noteworthy is the Museum of Westerplatte, where the Second World War started. Also worth see the Gdansk Shipyard Museum, where revolutionary movement "Solidarity" was born. Gdańsk also has one of the most valuable urban monument complexes in Poland. Main streets of the city and historic buildings are characterized by a huge wealth of architectural styles. Also worth seeing the Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, probably the largest brick church in the world. Apart from monuments Gdańsk has also to offer a few kilometers of sandy beaches where we can find amber. It is a really beautiful place and I like to visit them.
Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
In the presentation “Week 5 [7.12-13.12.2015] Maybe a short getaway?” I wrote about and recommend Suwalszczyzna. I do not want to repeat what I wrote there, so I can only add that it is a place where we can really relax accompanied only by nature and wildlife.
1. Have you ever been to a Kashubian place? If you were, what did you like?
ReplyDeleteYes, of course, I've been to Kashubia many a time. I've visited most of the cities of this region. I could recommend you Szymbark. There is an upside down house and the biggest piano in the world. Measuring 6.04 meters in length, 2.52 meters in width and 1.87 meters in high. It is a Guinness world record. Obviously it isn't a mockup. There is also the longest plank, it is 46.53 meters long. You can visit a Siberian house replica and bunkers leftover from the World War II. This place is worth a visit :)
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
I think my answer won't be surprising. My favorite place in Poland is Gdansk. I really enjoy a stroll down Dluga street and admire the fantastic architecture of the surrounding houses. I love their Hanseatic style. If you visit Gdansk it is worth to visit the Oliwa quarter as well. It's known for the Oliwa Park and the famous Oliwa Cathedral. Moreover I recommend You to walk over the climatic cobblestone streets.
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteNaturally. I am going there from time to time. People there are friendly and cheerful. You have a variety of things to do here: during summer - there are many great lakes, forests and green meadows. There is even a fairly new and unfinished castle - in Łapalice. Also during winter you can enjoy your stay - there are few ski tows so you can revel on skies or snowboard. And after a whole snowy day - take a rest and try winter grilling :)
Oh, I almost forgot about most important thing! STRAWBERRIES! Kashubian strawberries are best in the world. I give you my word!
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
I love many places in Poland, but my favourite is Gdańsk - absolutely fabulous city, where you have everything what you need (in the city or in the nearest area) - fantastic people, sea, rivers, lakes, forests, hills, beaches, parks, memorials, monuments and really everything what the heart desires. But the most important - great history. During summer I like Władysławowo because of great beaches and cliff.
This presentation remainds me about my very first holidays without my parents. As a child I visited Kashubian and I was pretty scared but I met there really nice people who made my trip unforgettable till now.
ReplyDeleteI recognize that song which wasn't actually so hard to sing but I was like 12 years old and for children everything is simple :) Those days I wasn't very interested in admiring views but I truly recomend visiting that region.
1) I have been to Kashubia, but only at the seaside, in the Tri-city and Hel peninsula, non of the lakeside places, the typical local villages, hence I have never experienced real regionality in terms of the Kashubian culture or people who are honest in their being Kashubian, and not only reating it as a marketing bait.
ReplyDeleteI've heard there are some funny-named vilages/towns, like Swornegacie, Męcikał or Lizaki.
2) I like the Polish seaside (Tricity, mostly Gdynia) and Silesia, from which I come from. I really like living in Warsaw and I admire the city itself. I had a brief possibility for comparison with Kraków and, to be true, I value Warsaw much much more. Krakó in the winter is unbearably depressive :)
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteI have been to Kashubia, but only at the seaside, in the Tri-city (like Anna). I have never seen real Kashubian villages with their true culture.
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
My favorite place in Poland is a tri -city .
All cities are situated in length of the sea...and I love the beach life:) . Each of the three cities is completely different and unique.
Gdańsk - the old , beautiful city with a great history . The most beautiful old town in Poland.
Sopot - resort for tourists, good hotels and the best parties :)
Gdańsk - modern city , it reminds me a little of Warsaw , but there is much more beautiful.
Every year I go to the tri -city to sunbathe , ride a bike , go on a super event and explore the beautiful and interesting places. I love this place
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteI have been to Kashubia, in Szymbark. This is really fantastic place, I visit house upside down of course too. I spent really relaxing time by the lake, where I was sunbathing and ate delicious dinner with my boyfriend.
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
My favorite place in Poland is Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. You ask why, well Ostrowiec is place of my birth and I spent my childhood there. I have a lot of good memories.
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteI have been to Kashubian many times, but I don’t think that I have noticed the Kashubian culture there. I was in Jastarnia, Gdańsk and Hel, mostly to spend time nere Baltic see. Also the main reason why I was in Jastarnia, was to learn windsurfing on Zatoka Pucka. Maybe I have not noticed Kashubian culture because I didn’t want to find it and I have never been interested in it. The cause of it is the city’s I visited which are focused on consumption, and didn’t promote Kashubian culture. I think that I should visit smaller towns and villages where Kashubian culture is functioning in daily life, that would allow me to know, for sure, this beautiful culture.
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
The place in Poland I love the most is village Pieczarki nere Giżycko where I spend my holidays year by year. Pieczarki is a very small village and there is a small camping nere Dargin lake. This place have its own climate because you live there in the tent or caravan. The best thing about this camping is that you don’t have electricity there, when it gets dark all people from this camping goes to one big fire camp. I love this place because, for me, time without electricity is the best time to rest form everyday life. When I spend two weeks there, all days are carefree, you don’t have to worry about your problems and this gave me strength to survive the next year.
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteYes, but I have been only at the seaside, like Hel or Gdynia, but it's hard to noticed there Kashubian culture.
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
I was born in Warsaw, I live here and I love this city, but big city in long term could be really fatiguing. Maybe because of that I really like small polish countryside called Nowa Piasecznica. When I want to get away from day to day routine I go there.
1. Have you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
ReplyDeleteIt just so happens that my fiancee is from Kashubian, just a small, picturesque town Bialogora. As a result, I tend in these areas more often and obviously love this place because of the proximity to the sea and peace and quiet. Unfortunately, in general I am not able to understand the language: /
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
I love the mountains, I could live there, I like the "Roztocze" lands and, of course, as I mentioned I really like to ride the sea.
Hello, that was very interesting post, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to Kashubian place? If you been, what do you like?
I have been to Kashubian many times, but I did not notice the Kashubian culture. Maybe it was my inattention.
2. Which place in Poland you like the most and why?
For sure Gdańsk. I have been there many times. Beautiful city with valuable history. The most beautiful old town in Poland. Definitely everyone should go there at least once.
I'm a little bit dissapointed because a presentation is pretty short. You only mentioned about interesting places, but for me it's too little. I found some informations about "upside down" house, becouse I was courious of a idea of that.
ReplyDeletehere is an official site of this buidling: http://domdogorynogami.pl/
However thanks for an article, maybe Kashubian place will be my holiday destanation :)
