As many of
You have probably noticed electric cars start to take over a large portion of
the car market in the world right now. Hybrid and fully electric cars are now
very popular and we can see them everywhere.
Many car makers have decided to develop hybrid or electric cars but one
car company has beat them all, the Tesla Motor Company. Tesla Motors has sold almost
135 000 cars since the first Roadster was delivered. The sales keep
climbing with the latest model being sold out before the production even
started.

Teslas
first production vehicle. It was the first ever production all-electric sports
car with range above 300km. Prototypes were
shown to the public in July 2006, the first 100 sold out in three weeks. The General
production began in 2008 and Tesla sold 2,400 roadsters in 31 countries over
the next 4 years . Until that model the electric cars were considered slow,
heavy and not really fun to drive. Tesla
Roadster, capable of reaching a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerating from 0-100
km/h, changed that point of view.

Telsla
unveiled the model X in 2012, but the first production models were delivered in
late 2015. It is Teslas first SUV, capable of comfortably seating 7 people.
With a special Ludicrous mode the
model X can accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 4s. Out of many features that the new model X has
the falcon doors are worth mentioning. They not only look great but also help
getting kids in and out of the car.

It’s the
latest car that the tesla introduced. It was first shown to public in March
2016, with an estimated price of 35000$, making It the first widely affordable
all-electric car. No one knows yet what features will be available, what specs
will the car have and even the delivery date but there are already people
waiting in line to register for their own model 3.
I think that the electric car market will grow
and we can expect to see many more cars such as the ones above. I am definitely
looking forward to seeing what the future of
these cars ad Tesla has to offer.

ReplyDeleteI heard about this brand/company but I have never seen this car in real life on street, somewhere.
2. Would You like to own an electric car?
Maybe in future when it will be more popular and simple to use.
I think now it's hard to 'charge' that kind of cars and it's not so practical for longer trips.

Maybe someday in future, it's hard to say, I don't follow news about that kind of technology improvements so I don't know much about it.

DeleteThere are more and more Tesla cars on polish streets, especially in warsaw, i think its just a matter of time antil You see one ;). Chargers are also visible in alot of places now, Poznań, Wrocław and Warsaw already have a couple.

I think electric car is good think on short route or the second car to town.

I think more propably will be hygrogen cars will be more take, maybe not in near years because today are blocking it person whose earn money on petroleum but in the futture it was our car.
Oil companies as You said will always block any means of transport that become independent from them. But as You said maybe in a couple of years the situation will change ;)

ReplyDeleteYes, I have. President of the company, in which I previously worked, has Tesla, but I do not remember which model.

Currently, electric cars that are affordable, in my opinion they are ugly, for example BMW i3. If someone create a nicer model with the "normal" price I will be able to change my car on electric one.

I think that electric cars will master the market, the only question is when?.
I also think that the i3 is ugly ;), lets hope Tesla brings the model 3 as they planned. Should be both affordable and quite good looking.

Of course i do , although I've not seen Tesla's cars on live . I know cars tesla only from the Internet or magazines .

Of course we do , but in my opinion there is not enough charging points for electric cars. Secondly, in my opinion electric cars look ugly , none of them I do not like . If by my present car was electric - why not !

I think so , but still need a long time . I think that electric cars will take over the car market when supplies run out of oil in the world.

In the future, when oil price will be high enough to not think about Tesla price ;) Beyound the joke, I'm waiting for rise in the number of charging stations in Poland and higher efficiency of electric cars.

They need time, but yes. I've seen a lot of Tesla taxis in front of Schipol Airport in Netherlands.
I hope Poland would also invest in Teslas as taxis, that would make getting a taxi alot better ;)

the motor industry but he also founded the space transportation company SpaceX.

Maybe in the future. Currently our country doesn't have enough battery chargers for that kind of cars and the charging process
is not comfortable. I think we must wait for the moment when this technology becomes more popular.

I think this is unavoidable, but it doesn't have to be in the near future.
Tesla is a very wildely promoted company. And the CEO being the founder of SpaceX helps to get even more attention :)

Yes but not now. Currently there is a problem with small range and difficult access to limited charging stations. But it will change in few years and then it will be great to be one of the Tesla's cars owners.

As I mentioned above - electric cars will gain more market share in year by year. It's a future. In next few years they will become more accessible.

Yes, they have great design :) However is not enough charging stations. I think that over time their number will grow.

Yes of course. Everything has changed now. Technolgy is still developing and methods of energy storage. I think that electric cars will become competition for the ordinary cars, when the price of fuel will increase dramatically. As a result of the termination of crude.

Yes, I have heard about Tesla few years ago.

I think that I'll have no choice in nearest future. We will definitelly move from oil to more ecological type of fuel, but I'm not sure if it will be a technology provided by Tesla.
Reason of that is quite simple, since more than 50 years, there was no real revolution in electrical energy storage, but as with everything we might soon find much efficient way.

Like I mentioned above, It's not easy to say, maybe for some time, we will be forced to do that, due to lack of oil, or high prices of oil, but in long term I don't think that we will use this kind of technology.
ReplyDelete1. Yes. South Park did a funny bit on it. Besides that, a few months ago there was a car show in Nadarzyn and a Tesla car was shown. My colleague went there and took pictures, which he then showed me. Nice design.
2. I think I would. I try to drive my car economically, so that I don't pay much for petrol. An electric car would a next step.
3. I'm not sure. It really depends on big car corporations. They and their lobbyists (and policitian in their pockets) decide when petrol cars are done.

It’s really hard to say. It all depends on the cost of maintaince and of course the price of the car itself. But beside of the price if someone, let’s say, bought me one of those I would be delighted.

That is possible. I don’t think it will take place in next few years (not in Poland, for sure) but they will be getting more and more popular. Now I can hear that many people are fascinated by these cars so they the number of fans will definitely grow.

2) I'm rather old school when it comes to cars, but I understand the need to switch to more eco-friendly ones so in the future I might decide upon having one/ wanting to have one ;)

ReplyDeleteOf course I heard. In the previous term of "konwersatorium" I described the idea of Elon Musk which is Hyperloop. I am fascinated by the following models of the company and still waiting for the novelty.

Only if it would be the Tesla S:) Unfortunately, I would have a build my own charging station because Poland is very poorly-developed in this type of infrastructure.

I think that in some way they will fill a part of the automotive market, but I think the future cars will be powered by hydrogen nuclear engines.
