  3. I support #czarnyprotest and #czarnyponiedziałek protests with all my heart, because there are moments in our lives, when abortion is the lesser evil, when it saves lives, when it saves body or psyche.

Trying to force us, instead of encouraging us to have children. As a result of this Law, women will have to explain every miscarriage, even though some pregnancies end in miscarriage of completely natural causes. Supporters of this Law claim we promote murdering children, but that is not the case. This is not about removing pregnancy without a reason. I hope the doctors won't be afraid of imprisonment for carrying out pre-natal tests and further treatment.

For those interested, here’s a link to an interview with a doctor who has a little more to say about it.

  4. I support CzarnyProtest, because If the new law will be enacted and in the future I will want to become a mother, I will be afraid to get pregnant. Because I will be living in a country that does not respect my fundamental rights, the right to free choice and the right to my own body. I will living in a country that will impose, how and what to do with my body. I do not agree with that. I think that the current law should not be changed.

  5. I support czarny poniedziałek. I think that law should be unchanged. I think that, if we want have true democracy, we should have a choice. The fact that everyone have possibility, it don't means that everyone must use it.

    1. Mixing religious belifes with state law is insane. It's private space and there's no reason to make it commom for all. In the other hand, the government shouldn't meddle to someone religion (if his faith do not hurt anybody). So, let's make real democracy, support #black protest :)

  6. Let me start with statement that I do support #czarnyprotest. However I’m a little bit m concerned with what I see…

This protest reminds me of ACTA case. Many of people went out on polish streets protesting against ‘internet censorship’. Everything went viral because of huge media involvement. Result was that on TV you could see people claiming that they fight for freedom of speech and evil EU willing to kill public debate unborn. Those were the people who have never seen or read the actual act of law. Information they had was based on media, on what they heard from their colleagues and friends, or on what they have read in the internet. Which is a dangerous thing as you can imagine. Initial message can be easily manipulated & misinterpreted on many stages of this information chain.

Although I find new law proposal not even worth commenting (as indeed is unimaginable limitation of women & doctors rights and freedom) I’m really worried when I talk with people who are saying that PiS is trying to make our country fully catholic, force their vision of life & make other people stick to beliefs which are not their own.

I’m worried because we have to remember that this initiative comes from people. Other people collected 450.000 signatures and by doing this they have enabled discussion about it in the parliament. Before last election they were multiple parties claiming that citizens’ initiatives should not be declined during first presentation in the parliament. And now, having such a ridiculous case, we have to bear in mind that citizens’ proposal of changing the law don’t have to be really accurate & appropriate. At the same time colleting 100.000 signatures in 40MM county is not a hard job, so we might face further cases of discussion about such sick things… Let’s brace ourselves ;)

  7. I also supported the black protest. As you can see, the Polish government was afraid of 30 thousand women who took to the streets to strike. Governments gave up a total ban on abortion, which to me was madness. If in this way the government wanted to increase the number of children in Poland, they are very wrong. If a woman would risk her life to be just like "a walking incubator" to be born anything is total nonsense. It is better to be childless than to die in terrible agony. What about raped women? Has anyone ever thought of those terribly harmed women? This bill invented people (mostly men, of course), who long ago were born healthy children and this problem has not be affected. Unfortunately, this law was a cover for other acts such as. CETA, which was signed when we were all focused on the Black Protest. Politics is a real House Of Cars....

  8. I think that the current law regulations about abortion are good and shouldn't be changed. Abortion is allowed in specific situations. It is set in a rational manner, acceptable situations are serious, so it looks good, and also it doesn't allow to "use" by people which are just irresponsible for their actions.

  9. Abortion is not an easy subject and we can not lump together all the posible situations connected. I do not support the use of abortion as a method of contraception. While there are situations in life when a woman should be able to decide whether to give birth. For example, when she knows that the child is sick, and she will not be able to take care of it for all its life. Or when she was raped and simply will not be able to love a child of her captor. Another example is a threat to the mother's life because of her pregnancy. I think that each of us should have the right to decide about their own life. That is why I support black protest with all my hearth. Politicians should not interfere in it, because they will not
help, when some woman find herself in a difficult situation.

  10. In my opinion the whole situation is insane and should not take place. I supported the black protest and all striving for have right to decide about themselves. I agree the abortion on demand it's not a good idea but in our lives we are going with difficult situations. I know one of this situations. A woman who was delighted with getting pregnant heard from her doctor something terrible. Her child had no brain. She decide to make abortion and trust me it's the most traumatic experience in her live. But how traumatic it would be when she would have to born dismembered baby after nine months. I cannot imagine feelings after that horrible experience staying between happy mothers with newborn children. I think we have to ask at the beginning of opinions women who met such a fate.

  11. Above mentioned article presented information about rights to abortion under Polish law. There was a draft which was bannig a right to abortion. Polish women decided to protect their rights and they prepared strike called "black monday". I didn't participate in black monday of Polish Women, but I suported them. In my opinion a compromise regulating three situation when women can decide on abortion should be unchanged.

  12. I support black monday, and i think its a great success, however I think people should be more aware of other issues, like CETA TTIP. Maybe success of black monday will change that.

  13. I think that black monday is very good example of social reaction in our country. However I am not proud of polish people, because we can unite on the streets only in very extreme social decisions. We is not think in global perspective about our beliefs. We often not participants in government elections.

I think that black monday it will not be last public discussion in important moral subjects.

In private i think abortion is very delicate subject. I would like live in free country in everyone can decide about your privacy. Freedom is most important in private zone.

I hope that we can learn speak our opinion in public discussion on important topics, despite the significant differences of opinion in society.

  14. I'm extremely against every picking up choose possibility by government and We should participate in every essential issues but In my opinion abortion law should't changed.

But I would like to look at on this situation on the other hand.
On the street strike, there were a lot of people underage playing truant and women who lead the gross public discussion about people borned like disabled.
Why we can talk about difficult cases in cultural debate or referendum but only on streets?

  15. I look at this whole black strikes thing as a cynical game of politics. One side decided to kick the other side of scene and used topic that is very emotional for a big part of society.. and when the kicked side saw it works it decided to use it to cover some bigger things. In effect media focused on women dressed in black and stoped watching and asking whats going on within the parliment.
