Hi guys,
The brief for this blog is to share each other our passions, stories and interesting stuff.
One of my proffesions is photography, so I would like to show you some of my pictures that I took during my stay in Taiwan and tell you the story behind them.
In 2017 I packed my stuff and moved from Warsaw to Taipei for certain time (didn’t know for how much in this time). I wanted to change something in my life and this travel helped me to discover what I love and what is important for me. So I stayed in Taiwan for about 3 months.
Taiwan is still undiscovered for Europeans - they know Thailand, Philippines, China and several Asian countries but never heard about Taiwan – "Isn’t called THAILAND?" some of them said ;)
That’s why I wanted to see this country. Taiwan is one of the most wonderful places I've seen. The culture is so different than European. So many things were stunning and even extraordinary for me. I felt like a child. (It was my first time in Asia.)

I have countless stories about my life on this island, illustrated by numerous pictures.
If you want to know more about that and see more shots here are the links to my SoMe:
You can also read more stories at The China Post
The China Post is now releasing featured stories about my photo projects. There will be also a book - a Taiwan travel guide with my photographs. You can find more information on their website.
Adventures like this are life changers. Being all alone 15.000 km away from what you call home can show you what is really important (and what is not so)and who and what makes you happy. And the views are cool also :)
I would like to know about your trips and adventures. Where you like to go? What kind of destinations do you prefer? And what is the most incredible place you've been yet?
Of course comments to my pictures and questions to my trips are more than welcome :)
Cheers!
Przemek
The best thing about travels is that they teaches and inspires us at every step. My most magical memories are from the Dominican Republic (it was breathtaking and curious world for me), but also from European cities like Paris or Milan, which I love to discover and soak up their atmosphere. Photos from your travels are amazing and I'm very impressed that they will be published in the book - congratulations! ⭐️
ReplyDeleteThanks Zuza! it's nice to hear it! :) Dominican Republic - I hope this is my next destination, can you recommend something? How long should I stay there, what is worth to see?
DeleteI would definitely recommend a trip to the El Limon waterfall.
DeleteGo for as long as you can because this place is paradise hahah. :D
Thanks Zuza! Currently stays at home... haha
DeleteUnfortunately, I have never had the opportunity to be outside of Europe, but I hope it will change soon. I would definitely visit Iceland, although I've heard that this place has been frequently visited by tourists for some time. Your photos look just stunning. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karol! I think Europe is sa good for travels as Europe. On my radar for now is East Europe - Ukraine and Lithuania. But Iceland must be interesting too. Especially in winter!
DeleteWow! You’re doing good in your passion. Keep up the good work. Your photos are simply great. I like traveling too but as for now, I don’t have enough time to go anywhere. I’m going to travel more in the future. Last summer I’ve been to the USA and for me, the most incredible place I’ve ever seen was the Grand Canyon. It’s an amazing place with a lot of breathtaking views and I think that you should go there too and take some photos 😉

DeleteLukasz thank you for such a nice feedback! :) The time is the biggest problem... Sadly, we are always busy nowadays. Grand Canyon - one of The Wonders! That would be amazing take some shots there, lucky you! Maybe, in near future... :) What more is worth to see in USA? Looking for some great destinations for shots.
DeleteGreat shots! I like those colors and composition, it all looks like pictures from a movie set to some fantasy tale. Congratulation on the release in a tourist guide, you can certainly bring out the magic of a place. In 2017 I also packed my bags and move to Iceland, looking for an adventure for few months but stayed 2 years finally. It was incredible experience, I learned a lot about Icelandic culture and I've lived the most breathtaking moments of my life admiring Icelandic nature. Sometimes I miss the peace of living in a small village of 500 inhabitants, 100 km from arctic circle.
ReplyDeleteThank you Magda! Movie-like pictures - that's what I wanted to achieve. Living in such fantastic country must be amazing!
DeletePrzemek, your pictures are staggering! Amazing! It is great that you do something with passion and approach it creatively in an individual way. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to leave Europe, but Asia is a continent that definitely I would like to visit. Maybe in the future I will be able to visit Vietnam and Korea, because definitely these are countries that are the most distracting for me. Regarding to destinations, hmmm... I think I am most interested in learning about other countries, their cultures, traditions and cuisine.
ReplyDeleteAre you the type of traveller? How many countries do you already visit?
Could you share some experiences?
I love travelling to Italy. In my opinion this country is worth to see. It's my favourite destination to travel, because there is everything I want - there are plenty of wonderful places to rest and sightseeing. My favourite and most breathtaking is The Zingaro Reserve in Sicily. If you went there you would experience long walks, different types of beaches and amazing views.
ReplyDeletePrzemek, your shoots are wonderful! They look really professional! What did you use to take these picture? :)
Italy is my favorite place to travel in Europe! #frizzantevine Especially for weekend trips. But I never been in Sicily - must go there!
ReplyDeleteFor my shots I usually use Sony Alpha 6500 with 24/1.8 lens - perfect for night shots and 55-210/4.2 lens - for portraits and nature.
Asia is an amazing continent for us European. Different architecture, exotic food, new smell and beautiful landscapes. I've never been to Asia, but definitely I would like to go. People say that Thailand is good for beginners. It's cheap and easy to move from one place to another. I think I would choose this country for my first asian trip.
ReplyDeleteI like to travel in Poland. I love winter sports, so every winter my friends and I go to polish mountains to ski. In summer I like to go to polish sea and a place called Chałupy. There you can rent a bike and go among the coast. I think the most incredible place I've ever been is Croatia, because there I saw beautiful landscape, amazing blue water. That's a place I would like to come back.
Well, Asia is cheap in general, the only expensive thing is flight ticket ;)
DeleteWow, very cool photos, especially the umbrella one. Do you mind sharing it in higher resolution? I might use it as the wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Asia but I think I'd like to visit most of countries there, even North Korea, since all of them are very interesting and differ from each other so much (at least for me as an european). I'm not sure when it'll happen though, but I hope western influence won't dominate their culture until then.
Totally true! Each Asian country is diffret, each vorth to see!
DeleteI can share with you highres, via email if you wish :)
Your photos are awesome. I wish I could make such beautiful photos. I also like to travel. Last year I was at Mauritius island, it was my honeymoon. To be honest that was the hottest and most beautiful place I’ve ever been. To compare I have Greece, Italy and Germany :P Temperature was a little bit too high, but drinks and Ocean were helpful enough to spent really good times there. Beach was like in paradise, water in Ocean warm and clear. Amazing flowers and trees, but the best part was under the water in Ocean. So many colorful fishes, sea urchins, shells, coral reef :) I recommend you to go there, because it’s only one 12 hours flight without plane change from Warsaw!
ReplyDeleteMauritius is on my list too! Real paradise island! And direct flight is a big advantage :)
DeleteI think that for now I'm more of type road tripper. I love driving car everywhere, see new places, new roads. Last year I've drove through 9 countries in two weeks with 8 friends in one car. Half of trip we've slept under the open sky and half of it under tents. I can say that it was very entertaining but also exhausting adventure but I want more of this. This year I'm planning to go across whole Europe by car in two weeks and in next years I'd love to go across the Asia, of course in car. I feel happy like kid when I'm on the road and even better when I can meet new people and see uncommon places.
ReplyDeleteOh road trips are soooo cool! I made it once but only around Poland. Sleeping under the open sky must be amazing feeling. I envy you!
DeleteGreat pictures man! Wishing to visit this place one day. I myself prefer travelling across Europe. I think our continent is packed with various cultures and that’s what makes it so remarkable. The most incredible place I’ve recently been to is Greece, more precisely a small island called Zakynthos. I assure you that photos from this place would be also pretty cool, especially those of Navagio beach. It is unlikely for nightmarkets to happen there, however the streets are full of Greeks selling local delicacies every single day. Highly recommending for relaxing holidays!
ReplyDeleteI've never been there. I wonder how nightmarkets in Greece looks like?
DeleteIt depends on the period in my life. Sometimes, after a long period of intensive work, I like to go to warm countries, where I will be able to spend most of the time on the beach, and sometimes I travel, for example, to ski for several days. Regardless of the purpose of my trips, I always try to visit the most important places nearby. I prefer absolutely everything and I would consider almost any possible travel direction :) Until now, I have traveled mainly in Europe and have not seen much, but I have the conviction that the our local Tatra Mountains are absolutely unique. BTW, absolutely great shots!
ReplyDeleteI love Tatra Mountains! Best place in Poland - especially in summer in my opinion :)
DeleteThank you :)
First thing I want to say is that your photos are breathtaking and I am very impressed with your journey! It needs a lot of courage to move alone so far away from home.
ReplyDeleteI have not travel a lot in my life but it's slowly changing and I have much more opportunities coming to do that. My go to place is New Zealand which nature is very absorbing for me, and I would love to travel around this whole country with a camping trailer.
Congratulations on publication in The China Post and that travel guide!
Thank you Magda! :)
DeleteNew Zeland - you can't go any further! Antipodes :)
I wish you would go there!
First of all, I want to say that yours photos are great!
ReplyDeleteIt might be nice to get away somewhere for 3 month, actually it is my dream and I hope I can realize that dream someday.
One of my favorite countries is Israel. It’s a place where different cultures mixed in one something special and unique, where life goes on quite differently than we’re used to. There are completely different standards and values of life.
Yes, there is not perfect, not so clean and not cheap – actually life there is veeery expensive, but despite of that, you will never forget that country, something there turned my life and changed my view of the life
Thank you Mykola! :)
ReplyDeleteIsrael was never on my list, but now, when I googled it it's definitely woth to see! Thank you for that!
Having been to Asia twice exactly in China and Thailand, I would definetely endeavour on a another visit soon, and Taiwan has been on my list. However I have heard, that it is actually quite explored and westernized compared to China. Your pictures definetely effect quite convincing.
ReplyDeleteIn asian countries, I definetely liked the fact, that you are being treated quite exceptionally as a vistor from Europe, that grant you a great deal of attention like taking photos with you. From their perspective we are the exotic ones. We think in the near future I would visit Vietnam, it seems like a cool idea to take bike ride along the coast.
Congrats! Taiwan or Malaysia is my next destination. For now the most incredible places I've been: south Mexico, Thailand east islands complex, Montenegro, Nacionalni Park Plitvička jezera at Croatia, almost every big city in Italy, polish mountains and soo on. I love travelling, but taking trip for 3 months is brave. Enjoy yout next trips :)
ReplyDeleteStunning photos! Every each is telling its own story! I'd forgotten how beautiful Asia is: your photos have reminded me of it :) Your photos also remind me of my Vietnam trip some time ago. I spent a whole month there, so I had time to admire the beauty of ancient monuments and then get tired of noise, pollution and chaos of Vietnamese cities. I have mixed feelings for Vietnam, but I am absolutely in love with Vietnamese cuisine!
ReplyDeleteThe Philippines is easily one of the most beautiful destinations that I have ever been. This’s country of over 7,000 islands with breathtaking landscapes, white sand beaches and happy, friendly people. My next dream destination is much closer than Philippines - this is green, hilly Scotland countryside. I prefer green, wild places close to nature than crowded cities :)
Your photos are phenomenal. I really like that you capture not only monuments or buildings, but also people. It says a little more about the place than just the postcards photos. I also like the colors - they nicely emphasize the play of lights and what should stand out in a given photo.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to traveling, I made the most of them by yacht. I took part in cruises with large sailing ships, like Borchardt, and smaller, like SY Politechnika.
Recently, I have chosen local travels - in Poland.
I would like to visit Asia - as long as it is not "European". But I wouldn't go alone. I would definitely take my girlfriend who dreams of such a trip. For now she is watching nature programs and probably she'd be able to name all the animals and worms we'd encounter.
What is your travel dream? But not a plan, but such a dream destination.
