  1. I’ve never heard about this man. This topic is basically new to me. I can only say that I admire him and his skills. I can even say that I’d love to have such skills because I hate winter and cold temperatures. Maybe in the future, I’ll try his way to become more cold resistant.
For sure I’d like to take part in training in the cold because as I’ve mentioned it would be helpful for me.
I’m not pretty sure but I must say that the point of view mentioned in the third question is close to me. I don't have enough knowledge to be sure but there are many factors that make me suspicious about this topic.

  2. I've never heard about him too! This guy is impressive! Taking part in such experience must be interesting, but this is totally not my thing... swimming under ice, marathon on snow... it must be painful! If any diseases could be cured by this... Maybe it is panacea for coronavirus 😂

  3. Yes, I did hear about Wim Hof. This man is truly extraordinary. But what's more important this man proved that everybody can go beyond his limits. It's unbelievable how he managed to train this group of people in just a few days. Besides, they were people for whom it was a completely new experience. I would gladly take part in such an event. I think it can completely change someone's view of the world. I am not a big fan of conspiracy theories, so I have no opinion about whether the current state of health care is dictated by the desire for profit or the state of knowledge.

  4. Few years ago I've seen a photo of a tattoo artist who I follow on social media, hiking in Tatra Mountains, wearing nothing but shorts and boots and this was how I discovered Wim Hof method. Despite I have never tried it, I'm more and more curious how such training would affect me. His method is now very popular and more and more of my friends and people that I know is experimenting with it.

I think it could be an extraordinary, yet informative experience to try Wim Hof methid one day because it would give me an opportunity to meditate while my body would be extremely out of comfort zone (yes, me too, I like it cozy and warm :D). I believe our over stimulated brains could benefit from those breathing techniques.

I wouldn't be so intrigued by Wim Hof method if there wasn't all those medical researches conducted over it. Especially concerning the control over hypothalamus and vagus nerve. It's truly amazing what this man achieved by self improvement and mind fullness, after such a trauma.

Do I share the view that many diseases could be cured if there were no desire to profit from pharmaceutical companies ? Yes, I believe we can limit our use of pharmaceutical and switch to more natural methods in many medical conditions. Simple change in life style can very often heal and bring improvement of our medical condition. When I see our approach to drugs I wonder if we really need them so much in our life? Simply watching/listening loads of commercials of flu medicines, memory & concentration supplements, painkillers, and all non-prescription drugs I don't think they should be advertised so aggressively like any other product, because it creates the need.
Thank you for sharing this post it was really interesting.

  5. I have not heard of the Wim's method before. The most interesting for me is how his mind controls the body and protects it. I once read about a man who did not eat for years, absorbing energy from the sun and meditation. Every time I read or watch documents about people who exceed the capabilities of the human body, I am extremely impressed.

I think that without prior preparation after such training I could have serious health problems - this treatment is certainly not for everyone, although there are more delicate versions, e.g. cryochamber or floating in salty, cold water, and that's what I'm very curious about (have any of you tried it?)! I also think that meditation and breathing control is a great way to cope not only in extreme conditions, but also during periods of excessive stress or mental problems.

I'm afraid that many advertised drugs that are on the market can do us more harm than good. Of course, we cannot underestimate health and I think that modern people should control dietary supplementation, but as with everything - too much, it's unhealthy.

  6. I've never heard about Wim Hof before but I read about people like him, who can consciously control their immune system. I always found it fascinating and it's very interesting how much about our health depends on our mindset.
I don't think I'd really like to take part in such training but if I had an opportunity to do so somewhere nearby, I might try. I believe it could be valuable experience but I wouldn't like to change my whole lifestyle just for it.
Not really, but I believe many diseases could be cured if people weren't so lazy and just led more active lifestyle. It's very convenient to make the pharmaceutical companies evil but in fact it's pretty common knowledge that environment has influence on our health and immune system but most of us don't do anything with this knowledge because it's too much hassle.

  7. I have never heard about Wim Hof, but I think it's an interesting story. I agree that we can control our brain and do a lot of things if we really want it.
I would like to take part in training in the cold like the one presented. Can be a very nice experience. Every year there are more and more ice swimmers in Poland. This sport is becoming very popular.
I think that many diseases could be cured if there were no desire to profit from pharmaceutical companies. There are a lot of companies producing medicines we really don't need to use and a lot of commercials on TV. A placebo effect exists.

  8. I’ve never heard about this man, without his article that wouldn’t change. Our mind is limitless, that’s my opinion. For sure if I had opportunity to take part in such training with specialist I would like to try it. I know that pharmaceutical concerns are pointed on cash income and profit, not our health. So yes, it is possible.

  9. My friend is big fan of Wim Hof method. I've heard a lot about this but never tried this myself.
It's definitely not for me. I like spending time active but I'm too cosy and I think that what I'm doing is enough. I think that saying that diseases dependent on profits is very controversial theory but there are a lot of diseases which can be easy healed but it's not profitable enough. So unfortunately I can agree with that theory.

  10. I have never heard about the man mentioned in the material, however I find his experiences and beliefs very inspiring and thought-provoking. I have never considered the world in a way that Wim Hof is describing it. From now on I will always keep his view about pharmaceutical industry in the back of my mind.

Yes, I would like to take part in similar training. I think it would be a great test of my strengths and weaknesses and for sure an extraordinary experience.

In my opinion Wim Hof’s point of view is very interesting and controversial. I do not think medicine and doctors are replaceable. His method can be effective, but it does not guarantee that all diseases can be cured with it. Nevertheless I think we should follow his example and propagate his lifestyle, because even in times when we have an easy access to all kinds of drugs we can firstly try to overcome diseases using natural methods. It would certainly be more beneficial for our health and our wallets. However, we should not give up on medicine, because in some cases it is crucial and irreplaceable.

  11. I've never heard about him, and I have to say it is very impressive. I agree that our mind, brain is very powerful and ofcourse not used in 100% by us and we are not even aware of what we can do. Even if this works I wouldn't try it because I like high temperatures much more and going into cold like this is not my thing.
That is true that pharmaceutical concerns are there to make income of sick people, but still it works and I think i would rather take some medicines instead of trying to get cured by some actually not proven method by more people, which also can cause damage to my health.

  12. I have never heard of a man who is in the material. From time to time I come across films and articles about phenomenal people and their amazing abilities and I really admire all of them. What Wim Hof does seems impossible, but he proves that the sky is the limit. A training in the cold could be an absolutely great experience, but it would be quite scary, to take part in it without special preparations. This sounds like conspiracy theory, but many such theories proved to be true after the fact, so who knows...

  13. To be honest, I've never heard about Wim Hof. I think people who do this kind of experiments with their body and mind have to be brave as well as determined. In the siuation mentioned in video I think Wim's way to dealing with his problems is interesting but also unusual. However, I would not like to take part in this kind of activity. I'm rather a person who like sunny and warm weather. It's much easier to me to go outside during spring or summer. But I think most of people would agree with me.

Nowadays, we're living in times with almost full access to any drugs. Wherever we look we see commercials of medicines. I think it makes us get used to diseases. People want to gain for example an immunity easily (by buying drugs and supplements that pharmacies are overfulled with...). It allows to pharmaceutical companies make enormous profit. I think if these companies wouldn't desire to make such a profit (or if there would be less pharmaceutical companies), at first people would try natural medicine, then pharmaceuticals and as a result there would be less diseases.

  14. 1. I heard about this man when I was watching tv show about the most dangerous Guinness World Records. I think that in some way it could by healthy but only in one condition safety guarantee.
    2. I tried once in my life ice swimming. Till today I don’t feel ready to try anything kind like this.
    3. It sounds a bit crazy or rather insane. It’s very hard to take any side.

  15. I have never heard about this man before, but after watching the video I will for sure spend much more time researching more information about him. The man himself is exceptional. The way in which he can control his body is unparalleled especially the way in which he can control hypothalamus and vagus nerve. I admire people that are able to recover from that kind of disastrous trauma and overcome so many of their limits. He talks about many important issues concerning todays medicine. People very often underestimate the influence of diet, lifestyle and natural methods on their lives, because you can find drug on everything. That being said, Wim Hof has many opinions that are unfair and may cause more harm than good. The invention of antibiotics or penicillin saved lives of millions and millions of people. The most misguided statement is that depression or bipolar can by cured the same way. In my opinion those are much more broad problems than just not being able to control one stress hormones.

Of course I would love to to take part in training in the cold like the one presented in the material, to get to know my boundaries and limits of my body.

Yes, I do Do you the view that many diseases could be cured if there were no desire to profit from pharmaceutical companies. The fact that big pharma can officially lobby to politicians to push laws is outrageous in my opinion. On the other hand this kind of statements depreciate the work and devotion of millions and millions of medicine doctors around the world who really know what they are doing and caused for example the raise of the anti-vaccines movement.

  16. 1. I have never heard about this particular man, however I think everybody saw reports about people training themselves to endure very low temperatures. They swim in ice water. I understand that people want to sustain their own bodies this way and extend their own boundaries. It’s an interesting idea, but still not everyone is brave enough to do so. I guess that the most extreme activity ordinary people can engage in is sauna, where you also have to expose yourself to temperature shocks.
    2. I would really like to do sauna more often. I did it once and felt very refreshed. It really boosted my mood. I remember lying in the icy bathtub, which I would never do ever wise.
    3. I don’t think so. If there is a profit to be made, then a drug can be devised and the disease can be cured.

  17. Yes, I heard about this man. A few years ago I saw a movie about Guinness records related to snow, low temperature, etc.
It's impressive what this man can do with his own body.
It would be great to participate in this type of training. I tried cold swimming and it was really exciting activity, I will definitely do it again.
I do not have such an extreme opinion on this subject as the man in this article, but I think that pharmaceutical companies have too much profit from selling medicines. Production costs are only a small part of the final price

  18. No, unfortunately I have naver heard about this man. I think that this kind of training needs a lot of determination and strong will. I don't think that I am strong enough to train my body like in the material, so to be hones I wouldn't like to do that. I think that people should mainly care about their natural immunity, taking pills from pharmaceutical companies should be the last thing after everything else failed.

  19. I have never heard about Wim Hof, but I think it's an interesting story.
I see that some of my classmates would like to participate in such training, but I don't think so. I don't have a problem with the cold, but I'm afraid it might bore me.
When it comes to pharmaceutical companies and various supplements - of course, some are important, e.g. vitamin D supplementation in winter, but what you try to tell people e.g. in commercials is an exaggeration, and some people naively believe. You can improve your health yourself - a little sport, a little better diet, water instead of sweet drinks for the day - small steps that can have a really big impact.
