third places will be seen in play-offs.
Qualifying

1/8 finals will qualify two teams that have won the most points in the group and four teams that finished in the 3rd place and won the most points.

3. The mascot of championship
The
mascot is the boy with the
appearance of a superhero whose
name is SUPER VICTOR:
en.mascot.uefa,com |
The boy was born in a small French town. His father was a good player and he
loves to play football with friends. One day, after an unsuccessful shot, when
he was looking for a ball in bushes, he found a mysterious, old box. In it he found a cap, soccer shoes and a Championship
ball. The Items have special power.
The
aim of the creation of the mascot is to promote football as
a form of fun, learning fair play
and bring other
joy. As with previous
mascots, also a new hero will travel around
the country as part of a
promotional championship tournament.
4. My first adventure with football
I have become a football fun recently. Exactly from EURO
2012 but always at my home (despite defeats)
We persistently
cheered the Polish
football team either during championships or during ordinary matches. When I was 10 years
old my grandfather gave me my first white-red
scarf and I was wearing it during matches just to make him happy and I
pretended I was interested
in what was happening on the football pitch. But after some time I started to like it more and more. The climax was EURO
2012 organized in Poland. In Warsaw it was not possible not to feel great atmosphere
and the spirit of championships. I suppose that
even the people who are totally not interested
in football in July 2012 were not indifferent to it. Together with my friends I spent all evening in the fan zone near the Palace of Science and Culture.
Unfortunately it reflected our exam results , but it was a time when football was the
most important thing.
Preliminaries to current championships were also big events
for me. Each match with the Polish team caused
unbelievable emotions, tears and a reason to
be proud at the end. I know that we are still not the best football team and we
have a lot of to do to reach the level of our rivals like Germany or Spain.
I can’t
wait to see championships in France and I had a plan to go there to feel this
atmosphere once again but after latest sad events I think that it is too
dangerous and it’s better to stay in Poland.
Pubs in the city will be prepared for sure so in Poland I will feel this
atmosphere too.
There is nothing more like to encourage you to
keep your fingers crossed for our national football team. We proved many times
that we are the best football fans in the world. :)
Questions:
1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?

ReplyDeleteI'm not a football fan , but with a great desire I will watch the match from the Polish representation, these will be a high emotions. I will watch the games on TV. In connection with the terrorist attacks are rumors that the match can play without fans.
2.
Looking at the End latest matches of Polish football team I think we have a high chance of EURO 2016.
Unfortunately, we have serious strong opponents in the group , but I think that Poland will manage exit the group.
but next...I do not think that they will win 1st place in EURO 2016.
3.
I think a chance for wininnig have - Germany team or France team.
I think that all the matches will be played with fans. Ticket sales is already completed. All big events have different spare scenarios, also in case of terrorist threat. In the event of danger match may be postponed to another day or another stadium. For sure Organizers also will provide high quality of protection. They will check all the fans, that they do not bring dangerous things on the stadium. It is undeniably a great occasion for the bombers, but I hope that nothing bad will happen.

ReplyDelete1. Yes, I am. I will do my best to watch as many matches as possible. I really like to watch football. According to current circumstances, and problems which France is facing right now I'm not sure if that would be a good idea, who knows what might happen.
2. I think that with our new coach Nawalka we have a really big chances to make a history :) I'm crosing my fingers and hoping that they'll at least get to the semi-final.
3. It's really hard to make such bet, as many teams are on a similar level, but in my personal opinion, I think that current champion, Germany might won this battle ;)
So, for sure, you can not wait for these championship, right?
DeleteNawałka is a man of strong character and no small skills. He has a lot of experience, also experience gained at Leo Beenhaker side. I think he managed to create a real team - football monolith, not a conglomeration of individuals. Maybe you already know that Adam Nawałka won the award coach the year 2015. I think he deserved it and I am delighted that he has been appreciated.
1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
ReplyDeleteNot really. I'm not going to follow the championship on TV, but maybe I am going to watch a few matches with friends. I don't unserstand how people get pleasure from watching football.
How long can you watch some handsome guys chasing after a ball. For me this is boring.
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
I think we will leave our group and have the second place within it. Probably the first will be Germany or the Northern Ireland.
I heard that our team's game has got better recently. It may be a sign of some success to come.
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?
In my opinion there are many teams deserving the first place. I think the final showdown will be between Italy, Germany, England, Portugal and the latest winner - Spain. It's hard to say which of these teams are the best. I think the victory depends on skills, but also a measure of luck is needed.
In such days we all are a national team so I think that even people who on a daily basis are not interested in football, will cheer on our team. So, maybe not the match, but the match result will be interesting to you :) I encourage you, however, to follow the championship and to keep your fingers crossed for our team :)

ReplyDelete1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
ReplyDeleteUsually: No, I'm not and I'm seriously thinking about blocking sport channels during Euro ;) During Euro: I will be a devoted fan of this atmosphere - it's amazing how sport can unite different people (Warsaw fan zone in 2012 was really cool. Accidentally I've found this short film which really impressed me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGIBABUefnk).
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
Basing on experiences from previous tournaments, our representation won't be favorite but hope never dies.
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?
Germany.
*I would like to see Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux - It looks more like an art gallery than a stadium.
Thank you for the link. I remeber that day. It was during the opening match. It is wonderful that during such events, Poles can forget about things, which are dividing us on a daily basis, and celebrate together the championship.
DeleteHere is fan zone from another day of championship.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crqqh_GaaT8). Poland - Russia match. The match ended in a draw, but we were glad, if we win the whole championship. Unforgettable atmosphere.
Hello Klaudia,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great article.
With reference to the first question and to answer it - I have never been a footbal fan - but after reading your article maybe I will change my mind. :)
I am not going to France for sure after latest terrorist attacks.
Second question is quite interesting - I think that polish footbal team is becoming better and better each year so we have chance to win.
German team is very good and efficient so it's possible that they wil win this year.
Germany is undoubtedly the favorite to win the championship.Germany are the current world champions, but they were not in the best form during the elimination of EURO 2016. They had problems not only with efficiency, but also with error-free game on the defensive. In October, they succumbed to Ireland and after the beatlle they defeated Georgia on their own territory. Also they lost one match with Poland. However, they have time to improve and during the championship certainly they show much more good game.
Delete1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
ReplyDeleteIm not a fan of football and i don't like to watch football games but championship is something different and everybody should at least watch our Polish team and support. I never thought about going to France during EURO 2016 but it must be a great adventure!
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
Probably we won't win championships but there is always hope that our team will be good and appreciated.
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?
I think that german team may the best chance to win EURO 2016, but we will see it's hard to guess. Every sport is unpredictable.
It is true, sometimes in sport there are surprises. One of them was the winning match Poland - Germany during elimination. We won 2:1 with the Germany then. Did you watch this match?
DeleteI must admit that I can’t be less interested in sport that I am now. I sometimes watch some competitions or matches on a tv when I have dinner at my grandparents’ house but this is the only case. When I was a kid I used to wait to watch Adam Małysz (who wasn’t, right?) but now I just have other things to do.
ReplyDeleteRegarding trip to France I find it an extremely reckless idea. Taking into account last „accidents” that had place there, gathering so many people in one place is just a perfect occasion for more trouble. But still I hope that security level will be very high and everyone will have a great time during EURO 2016 😃
Adam Malysz has created a legend and a perfect Pole, who wins with the best. All of Poland adored him, ranging from preschool children to gaffers, who previously did have no idea about ski jumping. Everyone was hurrying home when jumping competitions began and Adam showed the lightness of flying through all the lines. But it is just a beautiful story, which I call a legend.
Delete1.I'm not an active sports fan. However, I watch the most important meetings of our national team. So probably the same will be at EURO 2016.
ReplyDelete2. I think that we can play better than at Euro 2012 but we definitely haven’t chance to win.
3.In my opinion it will be French or Germany
1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
ReplyDeleteI like to watch football from time to time, but I don’t think I could call myself a football fan. I can really tell that because my twin brother is a HUGE football fan. He always tries to watch every match in Polish Ekstraklasa, and while in Poland (right now he lives in London) he goes to Legia Warszawa matches, so i have a really good example of a football fan. I myself am a fan of London football club called Tottenham Hotspur, which is one of the oldest football clubs in the world, and is a rival club for Arsenal London (which my brother is a fan of :)).
I think I will watch every mach Poland is going to play and of course later finals matches on TV - i think that an event like EURO is something really exciting, so many people watch it actually not being frequent football followers.
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
Well, I really am not sure. It would be nice if our team got at least to the 1/8 finals, I think it would be quite a success for our team, especially when we really don’t have any special story in EURO Championships.
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?
I guess Spain, England and Germany are the most probable ones to win. If not Poland of course I would like England to win :) definitely not Germany, they win much too often!
1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
ReplyDeleteYes, I really like football. I'll definitely watch as many matches as I can in my free time :) At the moment I don't have plans for visiting France. But maybe during championship some ideas will be born.
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
Polish national team is now completely different than before. Now footballers believes in themselves and also in clubs they are mostly first-choice of coaches. We should advance to quarter-finals without any problems. Personally I believe for semi-final :)
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?
Probably Germany. But maybe Poland will be a black horse and will stop them? ;-)
1. I am not a football fun. Generally, I do not follow competitions of any discipline... I usually I find out about the result of an important match a day after from my workmates. It is possible that I would watch a few matches of our Polish team, but I surly would not be overexcited about it.
ReplyDelete2. Well, I have heard that our team has recently doing well. Poles count on Lewandowski, our best strikers, but I would restrain emotions. Nevertheless, I hope our team won't play only for pride this time ;)
3. Brasil! Honestly, I have not idea which national team has the most chances to win the European tournament. If I had to, I would say Germany, but only because most comments here mentioned that country.
First of all thank you for the article! It's nice to have all the most important info covering Euro 2016 in one place. Also I hope I can use it to inspire my girlfriend a bit to feel the vibe of championships :)
ReplyDeleteTo answer your questions
1) I am to a reasonable extent- meaning I always watch all the games our team plays, as well as some of the duels you may expect a lot from.Like for instance a game between Germany and Spain. Unfortunatelly I won't get a chance to see it in France, but I'm certainly tuning my TV in!
2) I guess we stand a fair chance of winning our group. Later on- can't really tell, but I'm sure hopeful they'll put up a good fight against whoever stands on their way to the trophy!
3) As long as I'd love to say I think Poland's going to win I'd rather bet on Germany ;)
1. Are you a football fan? Are you going to follow the championship on TV? Or maybe you are going to France for the championship?
ReplyDeleteI’m not a football fan. It might happen that I will watch few matches in TV with my friends. I think traveling to France could be dangerous, because of the terrorists and rumours about their plans of attacking France during Euro 2016.
2. How would you rate the chances of the Polish team in this tournament?
I think that it would be nice if we win, but honestly I don’t know if our team is good enough to compete with teams from Italy, Spain or Germany.
3. Which team, according to you, will win EURO 2016?
Therefore I am not a football fan, so I can't predict who can win Euro 2016.
