I had never liked the taste of coconut. Coconut cookies, Rafaello, Bounty ..they hadn’t been for me until I went to Thailand. In Thailand, the first time I tried the coconut straight from the palm trees. Young coconut is green and in the middle is coconut water . I tried coconut water straight from the coconut , and since then it has been my favorite drink and I love dishes with coconut flavor. Mm …let's start from the beginning.

a source of healing drugs. Beneficial effects of coconuts were already described
in Ayurveda 1500 years BC. Pacific Islanders call it " a cure for all diseases " and coconut
palm - " tree of life" . In traditional medicine, coconut oil is used to treat ulcers , asthma ,
baldness , bruises , coughs, burns, colds , constipation , fever , kidney stones , painful and
irregular periods ,inflammation and ulceration of the skin , syphilis , toothache , and many
other diseases. Coconut oil contains lauric acid - occurs naturally in large quantities only in
two places - in the coconut and woman breast milk(lauric acid build baby's resistance).
Coconut oil contains natural antioxidants that remove free radicals, slowing the aging
process of the skin, making it firm and elastic. Coconut oil is used internally as well as

Finally, the potassium is an essential nutrient for the maintain tissue located in major organs in the body such as the brain, kidney and heart.

Karolina thank you for a long, exhaustive answer :)
DeleteIt's a fact ,coconut water is tastiest straight from the fruit of the coconut . Coconut water in a paper box does not have this sweet walnut flavor. This , unfortunately, thanks to the addition of coconut water vitamin C , through which coconut water changes the taste of the salty and sour . Fortunately, I found coconut water in the store, which has the same taste as fresh from the fruit. This water is closed in the can , and the has only coconut water - without the addition of vitamin C. This water is called " Coco cool" and is imported from Bangkok . Try it, it is really delicious!

ReplyDeleteVery interesting presentation. I like to hear about things that can make you healthier and which also have ability to cure some diseases and conditions.
ReplyDelete1. I haven’t used coconut oil. I always use for frying rapeseed oil because it has high smoke point and is really good to fry meat. While I was reading your presentation I checked that coconut oil have even higher smoke point (between 185-205 degrees Celsius) than rapeseed oil (130-190 degrees Celsius). I will certainly check coconut oil for frying. I wonder if it affects on the taste of food.

Unrefined coconut oil contains a slight smell of coconut ( after frying is not noticeable ) and light buttery taste , dishes become more delicious ; )
Very interesting that coconut oil can be used in so many different ways. As for the questions:
