and discuss it on our blog.

  1. I'm computer programmer. I heard about programs that would replace my work. Fortunately, it is not that simple and it will take decades to achieve this. So I'm not worried about my job.
On the other hand, that is terrible that some people may lose their job by me. Technological progress is inevitable. A good example is the cash from the article. Now you can find them in every major supermarket

  2. 1. I believe it's going to be a long process, it won't happen overnight. I also believe it's not something we should be overly concerned with, even though we should be aware of the trend and adapt to it. Long ago monk-scribes copied books, before the industrial revolution almost everything was made manually, people were unnecessarily afraid of changes every time a breakthrough invention was around the corner.

    2. No, not in a foreseeable future.

    3. Government should create new opportunities, but should not stop the progress, as is inevitable anyway as it is inevitable anyway.

  3. What do you think about this problem?
This is scients and it is progress which we must accept.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?
I think that We need a lot of years, that robots replace me in my work.

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?
I think no, goverment should support people in science, not stoped everything because it is new and not known.

  4. What do you think about this problem?
I think that is not a problem. We must accept this topic.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?
No, because I am a programmer. I will create my robot. He will make a money for me. ;)

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?
No, I think that goverment must be a sponsor for technical schools and university. I hope that our country will be a influential in technical inventions.

  5. 1. What do you think about this problem?
This is the natural way of things. This happens for a long time in almost any profession. Society evolves and there are created many revolutionary inventions.

    2. Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?
Maybe not in nearest future but one day... It will touch almost all of us (or our descendants).

    3. Should government protect people from tech unemployment?
I think that they shouldn't. It didn't happen in one day. There is a lot of time to learn new things and change your working sector.

  6. 1. I believe that disappearing some kind of jobs is a natural thing. In the end that’s the purpose of technology – to replace human work with help of machines. To let people be creative and let technology do non-creative jobs in faster, more accurate/effective way. So not only jobs we know now will be replaced by machines at some point. I believe that the same thig will happen to jobs which doesn’t exist now, will be done by human in future and then will replaced by software or robots at some point. It’s a circle.

    2. Unlike majority of students I’m not a software engineer, programmer, IT administrator or anything like this. I’m responsible for planning distribution of fast moving consumer goods in of the biggest corporation in the world. We have an amazing piece of software helping us to do our job. And majority of work is done without our involvement. But there is a very long way from having a software to delivering good business results. And the more complicated software gets the more control is needed to ensure output of the black box is correct. The number unhandled exceptions is enormous. Every day we’re creating new scenarios which are not implemented in our systems. And their implementation is not easy due to size of machine itself. So I’m expecting my job to change character at some point, but I don’t believe it can be fully replaced.

    3. I’m not a big fan of government overprotecting the citizens. Everyone has his/her own brain and ability to make decisions. It’s not hard to predict that some work can be easily automated and people may lose their jobs. But if they have proper qualifications – it shouldn’t be hard to find another one, right?

  7. What do you think about this problem?
I rather think of it as new posibilities, new occupation rather then losing any. Someone will have to maintain them, write programs, etc.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?
Even if so I'll try to find another one.

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?
I don't think it's necesseary, people should learn to take care of themselves rather to hope that some government will..

  8. What do you think about this problem?

Some of guys wrote that it's not a problem. I'm not sure we can describe this situation as problem.
For me it's kind of course of life.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?

many of jobs that can be taken by software. For example financial analyst.

Should government protect people from tech unemployment

It's hard to say. For people who are working now and they jobs can be stolen by robots I think, it can be a good move.

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?

Conclusion is sad but have a lot truth. This is real problem, we can face it now. Amazon have briliant solution for warehouses, Mercedes most of cars now, build only with use of mashines. Progress and fast change is inevitable. This happend for most of current jobs. We should start things about these changes and we should learn quick to take advantage of it. I don't think that government should integrate in this part (maybe in some special cases). Most of jobs will change. We can't do much about it, and law will always have some holes where technology will be used.

  10. What do you think about this problem?

For me it is inevitable. It's been happening for a long time. It seems to me that there are were waiting for us next revolutions.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?

My work is not suited for the robots, but in the future I can be surprised, who knows ;)

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?

This is a good idea, I am a young person, but I can see that for many people work becomes the meaning of life and its absence often leads to depression and self-destruction. There should be some program, which will protect people from that kind of situation or help them to find other job.

  11. What do you think about this problem?
I think thats an important problem, many people afraid of losing their jobs. However, the world in highly and medium developed appears demographic.
Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?
No, I am a graphic designer- so this a kind of art work. The robot don't have a good sense of aesthetics.
Should government protect people from tech unemployment?
Yes. Many people of banking, economic and sales department - many company decided to describe own program, which replace human work, leave them without a job. A good idea would be to create a life insurance unemployment.

  12. What do you think about this problem?

I think that its is still a fairly new tech, it still needs a lot of work and polishing, plus systems like that will always require someone to maintain, program and update them, so in a way its going to relocate current jobs into other, I think it will create different jobs instead of deleting them.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?

As I've said before, maybe robots will be able to do my job, but I will have to adjust to that and as others said systems like that will not be up and running for another 20-30 years

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?

I think people should take care of themselves, and government should only help when asked, not when it thinks its needed.

  13. What do you think about this problem?
I think it's still rising problem. Today Amazon has implemented into youtube their video about shopping without lines and also cashiers - an innovative project named "Amazon Go". If You're curious about the details, please check the link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrmMk1Myrxc
It's impressive that technology goes as well, but also disturbing when it comes to people losing their jobs.

Do you think your job will be stolen by robots?
I'm a graphic designer. Human's brain sees all that around him differently than its reality. That's why part of my job is to rely on optical solutions which currently computers cannot do. The answer is no.

Should government protect people from tech unemployment?
Most of us detect the "problem" of technology's fast development. In my opinion people should care about themselves, not rely on the government in situations like that.
