Can a doctor be in any home in the world? Yes,
maybe it's simpler than anyone could ever imagine. Just take a cat to your own
home.
Do you know that many scientists claim that cat
has a positive influence on our health? Imagine that there is more than a dozen
proofs for this theory. The first one is a good influence on our heart. And
it's not just about the sweet eyes and even the sweetest figures the doctor has
received. Vascular scientists at the University of Minnesota have argued that
cat owners show less tendency to infarcts.
The second proof is napping. So, our cats teach
us how to do naps. Research shows that people who choose to take a 20-minute
nap will improve perceptiveness, memory, creativity and of course mood.
It is time for the third proof. Cats never give
up. Fly hunting cat has experienced failures many times, but it never
gives up. After the fall, he gets up and tries to catch the prey again. Fourth
proof. Purr unloads stress. There have been many scientists writing about the
salutary effect of purr on blood pressure and mood. Moreover, cats are able to
modulate the frequency of sounds from 20 to 140 Hz, and some registers act on
the human body more effectively than many therapies. Fifth, cats are masters of tranquility. "I lived
with a few Zen masters, all were cats," said Eckhart Tolle, author of
books on meditation and spirituality. You want to calm down - take care of the
cat.
Another
proof? Please. Cats cause laughter.
It is impossible to not laugh looking at the
trials and crashes of the cat - from his pursuit of prey, from how he creeps
over food, how he copes with obstacles or even how he fights with a vacuum cleaner.
And as you know, laughter is the best medicine. Last year's research by
researchers from Loma Linda University in California shows that it takes just
20 minutes to watch funny cats to reduce cortisol levels (stress hormone) and
improve short-term memory.
Moreover, laughter supports the work of the
heart and immune system. Now one of the most important proofs: cats help people
with autism in communication. This is confirmed by research French scientists
in 2012. They observed 40 children with autism.
It turned out that children who had pets in
their houses, including cats, were calmer and easier to communicate with than
children without pets. This openness in children is related to an increase in
the level of oxytocin (happiness hormone) that is released when the fur is
stroked. Caressing also strengthens feelings of trust and love. Of course, the
cat will not be replaced by a qualified specialist, but I do not know better
home treatment.

Very interesting presentation . I don't know about most of these things. I heard that cat purring is good for humans. Personally I don't have cat but I have only dog. But my parents have 4 cats breed Maine Coon that are larger and heavier than my girlfriend's dog. I think that in the future I will have cat. Cats are amazing and who doesn't like cats is strange for me :) Fact is that cats have specific character.

ReplyDeleteI dont have a cat myself and that's because I'm alergic to their furr. Therefore cats have no healing power over me, they even make me sneezing, coughing, etc. Because of that I find cats having rather bad influance on my health.
ReplyDeleteHowevere cats catch rats and rats spread diseases so in that way I can see a positive aspects that cats have for our health.
1. No, like almost everyone above :) I prefer more intelligent animals like dogs.
ReplyDelete2. No, i did not hear about it :) I totally agree with Klaudia. Nothing else I need to add.
3. When it comes to cats - no. Maybe less cash in the wallet, but that probably does not help :) With a dog you can go for a walk, jog, which gives a lot of health benefits
I’ve read the title of your article, saw a kitty and couldn’t help but laugh. I don’t think there’s an animal I’d like to have as a friend more than a cat, but unfortunately all of the positive effects of their companionship get nullified when you’re extremaly allergic to them. Therefore, I’m pretty sure any encounter with those cute little creature would be „cat-astrophic” for me :D Thankfully, Youtube exists and I am at least allowed to watch cats behaviour there – and I gotta agree that sometimes it works miracles when I’m feeling down.
ReplyDelete1. No I don’t have a cat
ReplyDelete2. No I don’t have a cat and I’m allergic to them :(
3. I think all the animals have positive influence for our health and mood
I do not have cat at home, but I had in past.
ReplyDeleteI do not have any healing experience with cat, but I believe there is one thing important.
People are social creatures and required live with other people, but not only. Nowadays it is obvious that people have animals as substitute of other people.
Psychologically, people require others to have healthy and balanced life. If there is cat, also can take this role. And that how cat can influence our health
1. Do you have a cat?
ReplyDeleteNo.
2. Do you use his “healing power”?
No because I don't have a cat, so it can be really hard to do that :) And also I didn't believe in this kind of "magic".
3. Can you give any other example of positive influence on your health (other than those mentioned in article)?
As I said in previous question - I don't believe in any "magic healing power" so I can't give you real example. But I remember a TV show "Ręce, które leczą" haha :D
1.Do you have a cat?
ReplyDeleteYes I have one. My cat is gray and it’s the best cat on the world.
2.Of course. It’s funny cat and my daughter plays with it every day and I see that she is very happy and she learns of caring.
3.I think cats can teach us how to rest and sleep every place and every moment you have ever imagine.
