A healthy spirit in a healthy body
We live in a rush. Many people don’t pay attention to what they eat or their bad habits. Health should be the most important part of our life. In this article I will try to present basics of healthy living.
Diet
It is important to eat fruit and vegetables, most of people forget about this kind of food. Research shows that 200 grams of it daily decreases risk of heart diseases, stroke and diseases of cardiovascular system. In general the less processed food the better. A lot of people also stay dehydrated throughout the day. Water is necessary for humans to stay in good health.
An average grown up person requires two liters of water a day.
Exercise
Everyone knows that exercising is important, but not everyone is excising. We often make a lot of excuses. It is vital for our health to have some good habits, even something as simple as going for a walk for 30 minutes a day can improve our life a lot. A gym, running, riding a bike or even doing some exercises at home will make you feel better, You can chose your favourite type of workout and just start doing it.

Stress
Reducing stress as much as possible is also one of the most important things you can do to improve your life. It is well known that stress is one of the biggest factors in many diseases. For example finding yourself a hobby will help you a lot and will make your life much easier.
- What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?

1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteI doesn't have any diet. I'm eating everything what I want and I'm still alive :) Ok, let's say that I'm trying to don't eat these unhealthy things too often.
Sometimes I read labels, but mostly it is a situation when I doesn't know what this product is.
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
Not regular. Just from time to time, when I have free time.
3. What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
I'm rather calm and it's hard to make me stressed. But people mostly becomes stressed due to any exams or any more difficult things in work.
Good that at least You are trying to not eat these unhealthy food too often :) Even small amount of exercise can make You fell better. I agree with You that people becomes stressed due to exams and difficulties at work.
DeleteOf course that I'm careful what I eat. In general I don't eat a lot of things. Sometimes my friends laugh but I learned that I shouldn't care. Sometimes I let myself eat something unhealthy usually pizza. Now most illnesses people have are becaouse of their diet. I think that this is good reason why you should becareful what you eat. But a lot of people think that they eat healthy food. I learned about it for years.
ReplyDeleteAbout exercises they are 1/3 of my life. 3-4 times I have power exercises , 2x - boxing, bike, swimming pool , football. I want to start going to BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) but I may have a problem with time because I'm also a muscian with two bands and I must spend time for it. In general my time table is full and I never sit doing nothing
That is very good that You don't care about friends laughing in this case. It is very important to have Your own opinion in this matter, especially when it is good for Your life. It is so cool that You are spending so much time on exercising, You must feel very good about it.
Delete1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteYes, I read labels. Due to the quality of the nutritional products. When I do not find a good product, I do not buy a worse replacement. I am wondering then, what is the possible replacement of a given product. For example, if I do not find ecological eggs or free range, I think how I can replace them. On the other hand, if there is no cream in the shop without thickeners, then I buy natural yoghurt or natural cheese. The worst is in the beginning, because you may find that you have to go to several stores to complete the shopping.
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
Twice a week I go swimming and lastly, in the warmer days I ride a bike.
3.What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
For example too high expectations of us, excess of things to do, work, anxiety for the future, deadlines, time pressure, chemical factors and related to inadequate nutrition, frustration, inability to influence a given situation and many others.
Usually conversation with a close person helps me to look at situation differently and relieves stress.
That is very good that You are so careful about choosing food. You must be very healthy person. Swimming and riding a bike are a good way to spend Your free time, especially when the weather is so nice. It is always nice to have someone You can talk to with different approach that can be helpful.

– Yes, at least I'm trying to. Football is my favorite way to actively spending time.
What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
– In normal everyday situations I think it will be work. I'm trying to at least once a week spend some time doing nothng, but chilling.
You don't need to have a special diet. Reading labels in order to chose more healthy products is enough to make Your life better. I think resting should be important part of everybody's life.
DeleteWhat does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteI do not spent time to pay attention what I eat. I think it is bad for my health, but it is not mean that I eat everythink what I see. I read labels. I avoid sugar and salt. I try to eat fruits because I like fruits so much, especially apples. Check this post about medical stuff about apples, I think it can be interesting for you: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/267290.php
Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
I would like to be more often on the gym but I like dance and it is my way to spent life in active way. What is more, dance is amazing. I do my dance classes three times in week. I prefer to individual styles, especially hip hop and maybe another modern styles. I encourage you, especially because of your post subject! Feel free to join!
What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
It depends on every person. I can tell you what makes me stresses, it is the situation where I have too much duties to do and when I can reduce this stress I am going to walk, yes walk. I am walking where I can feel lonely and think something about what happened a few minutes earlier.
Thank You for article about apples, I have learned so much facts that I didn't know about. It really doesn't matter whether You dance or go to the gym, the important fact is that You exercise, keep up the good work. Your body will be grateful. I agree that being overwhelmed can be stressful. When You have a lot of duties, try to divide them into groups if You are able to and take care of them one by one. Maybe it sounds simple but it is really working for most people.
DeleteWhat does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteTo be honest with you I have very dynamic lifestyle, but I'm trying to eat properly, because of my serious stomach dieasese, but sometimes it is impossible not to eat junk food. I used to read labels before, cause I was allergic to nuts and eggs, but now when allergy went away I don't do that.
Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
When I was a child I hated PE, but now it has changed. That's because I do exercises which I want to and I'm not made to do it. I love kettlebell and I recommend all doing it :)
What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
In my opinion everything can make you becoming stressed, for example an exam, mad boss, mean collegues, dieasese. After stressfull moments I'm trying to calm down and ignore problem.
Monika D
I agree that sometimes it is impossible not to eat junk food with dynamic lifestyle. It is important not to eat it too often. Yes kettlebells are very good but You must be very careful if You have back problems.
Delete1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteI use an autoimmune protocol. I pay great attention to what I eat and read the labels of what I want to buy.
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
I practice regularly since childhood, playing football professionally.
3. What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
In my opinion work is most stressful. Of course, trying to reduce stress in my life by practicing sport.
Good job, keep up the good work with diet. Its so cool to play football professionally, it must be hard to practice on a regular basis. Sport is a good way to reduce stress.
Delete1. Recently I've decided to pay more attention to what I eat. I've started to read labels. I read healthy blogs. Unfortunately, I do not have much free time, but I try to develop healthy habits slowly. So far I put down sweetened drinks. I drink only water or green tea. I make fruit and vegetable cocktails. Instead of mayonnaise I use yogurt. I resigned from sugar. My diet is not perfect yet, but I've already noticed the difference in how I feel.
ReplyDelete2. As far as I've started to pay more attention to my diet, unfortunately I don't pay much attention to exercises. When I return home from work I have no strength. Every second weekend I have classes at the PJAIT. There are 2-3 free weekends in a month, but then there is always something more important to do. Many excuses ;) But when I find some time and energy I go cycling. I hope to finally find some more time and strength, because I realize that this habit is not good for my health.
3. Fortunately, I have no major stress problems. I like my work, especially because it has a good atmosphere. This is very important. Sometimes I have problems and then I'm stressed out. But I have a solution - I listen to music, I talk to friends, I go to beautician or to the hairdresser.
It's very good that You become aware of nutrition. Habits are one of the most important part of our life, it's good to have as much healthy habits as possible. Thats true that excuses are a bad way to approach any kind of exercise, I know that sometimes its really hard to start, but usually only the start is hard, rest is downhill from there :) I agree that listening to music helps You in stress relief.
DeleteI read labels because I'm a vegetarian. Unfortunately, I do not have time to eat healthily. I usually eat lunch with colleagues at work. Believe me it is not healthy food :)
ReplyDeleteThis year I promised myself to run a marathon. Unfortunately I have not started running yet, but next month I will start - seriously :)
One subject in this semester is stressful. Maybe I will not say what this subject is :) However, since I take magnesium I feel better. Of course a good diet would be best to avoid stress. If I could work remotely (eg from the Bieszczady) I would have cooked myself. It may be time to change the job :D
Cool, You must eat a lot of fruits and vegetables that is good for wellbeing. Good luck with marathon, practice is very important with this kind of challenge. I wish You to have a remote work then :)
DeleteWhat's funny, a lot of people misunderstand the term "DIET". Many thinks it's endless circle of recantations, but in reality "diet" means, it's just a habits of your eating. Personally, I'm a freak about healthy diet. I eat products which are made in a most natural way. I think the healthier food are the ones that did not have to go through a long way of processing. For example, as was told in a presentation, fruits and vegetables are directly growing from the soil, so it's perfect for human organism. Unfortunately, nowadays even healthy plant-food or a raw meats are contaminated. Humans spray unknown compounds on vegetables and inject meat with noxious preservatives. It's very hard these days to be on really healthy diet, but I do recommend eating "natural" products than processed stuff, mother Earth wouldn't even recognize. If you look at some labels of "bad" products, you wouldn't understand about eighty percent ingredients from it. I find it frustrating.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that You are on a healthy diet. I see You are aware of the nutrition like not many people are. In my opinion natural products are the best way to stay healthy, especially if You personally know a farmer from whom You take food.
DeleteThanks you for this article. I have a private consultant for my diet. This person can analyze style of my life (stressful and responsible work)) and prepares every two week eat plan. I have fun in shops if I have very long products list. It is very funny for my girlfriend, because often I do not find many products in supermarkets. I always read products labels. I am interested about products components, because I know how important is good diet. I feel many energetic and I not have any headaches. It is great. My knowledge about health eating. I am a not athletic person, but i am trying made a exercises in home or make very longs walks with my dog. I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have professionals taking care of our nutrition. It saves us a lot of time and You are guaranteed to have a good diet. Even long walks can do miracles for Your health.
Delete1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteI really try to be carefully what food I eat. I don’t eat very fat meal. My diet is very rich in protein. My oridanry day is primarily vegetables and fruits. I read labels because I want to know what I eat.
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
I don’t exercise regular but I try to find spare time for any physical effort. I cycle 2 times for week and swim 1-2 times per week. Of course I will be happier If there is more time for sport but I have many others activity which cunsume my time.
3. What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
I think, we stress ourselves because we take care of any details in our life and job and we worry about our family and close friends therefore we have a lot of worries.
To reduce stress I use physical activity (swimming, tenis play , cycling). Every evening I try to find a couple of time for reading a book. It’s very good to calm down myself.
I see You have good healthy diet habits. Keep up with them. You don't have to exercise everyday, it is crucial not to sit at home for days with no activities. Cycling and swimming few times a week are usually enough for your body to stay fit. Its good to have some habits that helps with stress relief, I think everybody should find out for their own whats best for them in this matter.

ReplyDeleteI do not care about diet. I eat what I like to eat. The only thing I think abut is frequency of eating. Before I have bad habit to eat once daily or on unregular basis. Now I am taking care to have breakfast, to eat lunch on time.
ReplyDeleteI exercise on regular basis especially I am disable person. For almost 6 years I have regular physiotherapist visits. I have muscle issues and have to discuss new pains, new exercises. During this time exercises was part of my life, I have improved many aspects of my leaving. I can handle much more then before. So in my case exercises are really important, but in my case benefits are much bigger then usually.
Frequencies of eating are also important factors in diet. Its so good that You exercise so much, especially when You see on your own benefits of it, keep up the good work :)
DeleteI really like your article, because a lot of people don’t care about their health, but it is the most important thing to take care of our well-being and health.
ReplyDelete1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
I pay attention what I eat and what I buy. I try to eat five meals a day, because it assures me that I will not be hungry. Of course I watch that in my every dish will be some fruits or/and vegetables.
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
I recommend everyone to have a dog, because the minimum daily exercises (it is 30 or more minute walk three times a day) is out of your head.
3. What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
Of course work at most, but if you do what you like, the work is less stressful. There are a lot of others things too, for examples: traffic jam, exams. I try to adopt appropriate body posture, it works.
It's good that You are aware of all this things. 5 meals a day is a good habit for Your life. Yes, this kind of walks can make You fell so much better. It's nice to have Your own ways of dealing with stress.
Delete1.What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDelete1. In past I more focused on my diet, now I don't have enough time to prepare healthy homemade meals. Sometimes when I scroll my Facebook I read something about diet, but the best diet is eating less, avoiding salt snacks and fast food.
Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
No. I don't have enough time to do sport, but I hope that, I have more time at summer and I start regular basis. However, I am walking a lot and this is the best kind of sport for me. I always try to cross the 5 kilometers everyday.
3.What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
3. Stress approaches us from each side. We live in developing world with pressure, but only we have impact to change our approach to stress and pressure. We should more believe in ourselves.

ReplyDelete1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteI do read labels and try to choose products wisely. But I realised that my diet is not a model one. I should eat more vegetables and fewer carbohydrates, including sweets, unfortunately...
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
I used to exercise more. In the past, I run several times a week. Recently I don't exercise and every week I tell myself that from Monday I will start exercising regularly. Everybody knows how it ends... But lately, I started to walk more. Whenever I can I choose walking over driving a car or taking a bus. It's not enough but I'm taking small steps.
3. What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
I try to rest properly namely, when there's a time for myself, I don't do anything connected to my work. When a weekends come, I try to not even turn on a computer or a TV. I work in a sitting position, so on my spare time, I try to sit as little as possible. I meet with friends, play with my dog or event mow my lawn.
My diet is pretty much one huge rollercoaster – one day I can only drink herbal tea and eat fruits or vegetables, and the other day all I have is sweetened coffee or chocolate for dinner – to be fair it all depends of the amount of work I have. I read labels a lot, although even when I’m aware something is not necessarily healthy and I feel like eating it – I end up doing so.
ReplyDeleteI’ve been planning to excersise regulary for a looong time already, but there is always some excuse, so it usually ends up with me going to the swimming pool once in a month or playing badminton when my friends have time. I know that walking to work daily is not enough, but there is never enough time or energy to turn excersise into a daily habit :(
When it comes to stress, for me it’s usually some family problems that concerns my family members health. I also freak out when I have too much job to do at the same time and when I can’t even sleep for more than 5 hours daily. To be fair, I don’t even remember when was the last day when I couldn’t think about anything but myself and stuff that I don’t have to do for once.
1. What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteI don't take big care of what I eat. I don't eat regularly and surely my meals are not well-balanced. It's probably not very good for my health and I should change something in that topic.
2. Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
No, I don't excercise and I never did excercise regularly.
3. What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
In our times everything has to be done fast, there is no time for good relaxation. Work, school, family is enough to make you nervous. To decrease stress level I'm reading books in my spare time.
When it comes to diet I don't pay too much attention to what I eat. If I want to eat something.. I don't think about it too much - just eat it. I don't wonder if something is healthy or not I just eat meals and snacks that suits me. Sports where great part of my everyday life.. some time ago. But now things got a way different and I've got problem to organize my schedule and find some extra time for sports. I excercise but not so much regullary. I've just got problem with my motivation. Stress is a part of our everyday life. Work, family problems. We all have some issues and after years we developed our own schemas to find a relief. And for me there is variety of ways to deal with stress, like reading a book or listening to music - it all depends on my mood.
ReplyDeleteWhat does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels?
ReplyDeleteHmm yes and sometimes no. I try to eat very healthy, I run and I go to the gym 2 or 3 times in the week. But sometimes when I have a lot of work and I have to go to a lot of places in Poland in short time I eat in for example McDonald or gas station.
Do you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life?
As I said I run and I go to the gym 2 or 3 times in the week. I practice bodyweight exercise.
What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life?
I have a lot of stress in my work. I run my own company and I manage several others. It's very stressful work, I have to pay on the time for a lot of things, I have to pay my people, watch out ZUS and taxes. Without gym and run currently I can't imagine my life :)
What does your diet look like? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Do you read labels? For me, diet is very important because it makes me feel good and I have a good figure - the most important thing on my diet is No eating meat and dairy.Since I do not eat these things I have no problems with migraine, acne or thyroid problems! In addition, I start daily with water from lemon, ginger and turmeric. This drink has a lot of advantages, one of them is to over metabolism. Diet is very important in human life. Bad diet leads to illnesses like heart attack at the age of 40!
ReplyDeleteDo you exercise on a regular basis? Is any kind of activity a part of your life? Yes, practice hard in the gym and doing cardio 3-4 times a week! This is my addiction.
What, in your opinion, makes us stressed? Are you doing anything to reduce stress in your life? Sometimes it can stress me my work or school, the best way to reduce stress is the gym!
1) My diet is pretty well-balanced. I pay a lot of attention to what I eat, what are the nutrtious componetns included and thus I have to examine labels rather carefully.
ReplyDelete2) Yes, I do excercise on a very regular basis. I go to gym at leat 2-3 times a week and whenever possible I go to work or uni by bike.
3) I guess what mostly contributes to our stress levels (at least in my case) is the work enviroment. All of those deadlines, ASAPs etc. make your work tense and intense and you know you can't really allow yourself to make mistakes. Despite all that I just try not to let it get into my head too much. After all I'm pretty good at what I do and can always look for another employer 😉
I do not use any diet at the moment, but I notice that this become very popular, even among my friends. A long time ago I had diet because I was working out. After school I will return to gym and my diet. My diet was not too difficult. I had meals 5 times a day and 1 dish with fruits and vegetables. I wanted to have my muscles bigger, but I ended up after few months because I had to much obligations.
ReplyDelete1. Well, let me start with mentioning the fact that I had only one New Year’s resolution. To lose weight. And During 4 months I managed to do something which I’m really proud of. I lost 16kg! That required a lot of effort as you can imagine, but very important part was awareness of what I eat.
ReplyDeleteI read labels of very product I buy. I compare labels of similar products and I always choose the one which seems to have better nutrition values. It seems like a lot of effort but actually after some time you simply know what you should and what you should not eat even without reading the label.
2. I do. There was even a moment of my top motivation level, when I’d go to gym every day! Now – having reached my weight target - I decreased frequency of trainings, but I aim to run 10km 2 times per week. I’m still thinking about possibility of cycling to work, however the vision of necessity of having a shower each time before I start work (and I start super early, around 7AM) makes me sick for now. Plus that perfect weather! There will be no better moment to ride a motorbike!
3. We tend to be stresses because of many various reasons. I truly believe it depends a lot on individual. However the best advice I can share is to stop carrying. The less emotions you attach to what you do, and the more you’re focused on task itself rather than envisioning success/defeat the more productive you are :)
