My choice is https://konwersatorium3.blogspot.com/2018/01/antibiotic-resistance.html
I think it's very interesting and spreading important knowledge. I heard few times already that people take antibiotics too much and too often. The infographics in the post are informative and make it easy to remember information from themselves. The author also gave links to official source of information when you can check even more data about it.
I’m also voting on the same article. It’s about important topic, it's supplemented by good iconographies, links and it’s easy to understand which is not obvious when it comes to medical topics.
Hard choice to be honest. At the beginning of the semester I have not anticipated so much interesting topics showing up. If I were to choose my top 3, it would be: - Week 4 [20-26.11] Boundless daydreaming: I'm a huge fan of Elon, both from his achievements' point of view but also from his personality perspective; I've finished Ashlee Vance book about him and now I'm even more impressed. Article pretty sums up why we should watch out this boundless daydreamer. - Week 6 [08.01-14.01.2018] Antibiotic resistance As others mentioned, currently one of greatest challenges we face nowadays - how to save ourselves without killing ourselves. Great writeup! :) - (Ex aequo) Week 4 [20-26.11] Boston Dynamics, Week 7 [22.01-28.01.2018] Will automation help us have more free time? Both touch another great challenge humanity faces nowadays - how will we reshape society in era that, by order of magnitude, shakes current workplaces much more than industrial era did? They're merely an intro to the whole topic, but worth reading nevertheless. :)
Antibiotic resistance is the best presentation! It's a very important and well timed subject. Also her presentation is wrote very good and has interesting pistures and diagrams.
I have been chosen presentation about antibiotic resistance. It scares me a lot, but I think it was really great to read about that kind of facts, so important for us even it was very hard. Presentation was good to read, nice pictures and charts. It’s pleasure to read this! Congratulations!
Its not an easy choice, but if I have to vote for one, it would be: Week 7 - The number’s not lie.
I think being aware of our health is the most important thing in the world, because when everyone is healthy then we can try to change our world for a better place. It would be much easier if You don't have to think about your health and focus on the bigger ideas. Staying healthy would influence literally all the people over the world. In my opinion less stress, less anger, less worries, less diseases are way more beneficial than any other thing.
I would also go for the in vitro meat presentation. It's the solution the world needs to embrace facing the problem of global warming. I think such ideas could really turn things around on a global scale. It's so important to think about those matters while making everyday choices and to think globally!
I will vote for "Boundless daydreaming" (Week 4 [20-26.11]) The topic was very inspiring and up to date. Among all of thos technologial topics that presentation showed rather how you can make dreams come true, and that trying and believing in yourself is the very basis. It can not always be done right away, maybe even after 10 attempts. But it is always worth fulfilling dreams and doing something good for humanity. However, most of the topics were new to me and opened my eyes to issues that I would not always be interested by myself. Let's inspire each other more often :)
Most of the presentations were very interesting. The special place in my heart always belongs to scientific topics so I vote for Week 6"Antibiotic resistance". I will also vote for Week 4 "Boundless daydreaming". Topic similar to mine. Elon Musk is very inspiring person with vision and... money to make this visions come true.
